Himachal is one of those states in India which was rapidly transformed from the most backward part of the country to one of the most advanced states.

Among all states of Indian union, Himachal ranks fourth in respect of per capita income.

One of the main reason to achieve prosperity to this state was ample availability of ELECTRICITY.

State is also called  " apple bowl of India " famous for delicious shimla apples 🍎🍏.

   * DISTRICTS OF HIMACHAL PARDESH *

                         1.BILASPUR

Don't confuse between two famous places naming same #Bilaspur.

Famous Bharta Nagal Dam is in Bilaspur at the river SUTLEJ.

Bilaspur Leh - Line is proposed high elevation for all weather 1,676 mm ( 5ft 6inches ) broad gauge railway track that is planned to connect to Bilaspur in Himachal to LEH in Ladakh. 

Government is working to extend railway connectivity Bilaspur to Leh. This will increase tourism in both Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. This will led a direct railway connection to Leh through Himachal Pardesh to rest of India. Presently, the route from Delhi to Leh takes 4 days of journey after completing this railway track time taken to reach Leh will be reduced by two days. 

Also get help to facilitate quicker movement of troop and equipment. This will one of important railway connectivity along china border identified by DEFENCE MINISTRY.

Agriculture and tourism are main sources of income for this place.

                         2.CHAMBA

                       

    

Called the " valley of MILK and HONEY " .

Famous for temples, local paintings, handmade rumal, and taken one of best place for scenic beauty in country.

Tourism and agriculture helps local for their livelihood.

                         3.HAMIRPUR

Famous for its literacy rate . Have highest road density among all districts in India.

Agriculture and tourism are the basic sources of income.

The place is also famous for offering various adventure sports facilities for its visitors like PARAGLIDING, RIVER RAFTING, TREKKING.

                            4.KANGRA

Home of MASROOR ROCK CUT TEMPLE also known as  HIMALAYAN PYRAMID and contender for the UNESCO , WORLD HERITAGE SITE.

Tea farming plays vital role in economy.

                          5.KINNAUR

One of smallest district  in India by population .

Famous for KAILASH PARWAT scared place for hindus.

Mainly economy depends on Agriculture and Tourism.

                              6.KULLU

Famous for kullu valley and hills covered with pine and deodar. Manali famous hill station is only 40km far from KULLU.

Mainly economy depends on Tourism.

                      

                 7.LAHAUL AND SPITI

One of the 3 least populated district in India. Famous for various high altitude trek trails and a rich Tibetan influenced culture.

Valley has a wealth of flora and fauna 

and home for snow leopard, foxes, ibex, himalayan brown beer, musk deer, and himalayan blue sheep.

Source of income mainly depends on tourism.

The world's highest  Post Office in the village Hikkim   is in this district .

It must be a proud moment for our country  because post man works upto this height  it's  really awesome.

                             8.MANDI

Place full of temples and also called " CHOTI KASHI " or " VARANASI OF HILLS" because of 81 old stone shivalik temples and their enormous range of fine Carving.

Tourism helps mainly for earning money.

                     9.SHIMLA

Name is renowned for the beauty given by god and one of famous and major city from ancient times.

Main reason which makes this place famous place is quality education and schools 🙄🙄

Major income source depends on the hotel industry.

                     10.SIRMAUR

Famous for GOVERNMENT OPERATED FRUITS RESEARCH CENTRE. 

So many light and pharmaceutical industries exist here.

KAMARAU is a place here called place of LIMESTONE MILLIONAIRE.

SATAUN is the largest limestone market of SOUTH EAST ASIA and GREAT HIMALAYA NATIONAL PARK is found here .

                       11.SOLAN

  Famous for production of, off season vegetables 

A 35 kilometer long industrial corridor exist here named - " BADDI BAROTIWALA NALAGARH " or BBN   emerged as global pharma hub.

Agriculture and Industries are main source of income.

                            12. UNA 

Una was home of descendents of the first sikh guru , GURU NANAK.

Famous for  MATA CHINTAPURI TEMPLE  identified as main industrial hub .

Agriculture and Industries mainly promotes income .

International car and motor has also one of their plant in this city and  big Companies like Inbox Wind, Nestle also have their plant here .
